Fenton Parks and Rec offers sports and holiday programs

The City of Fenton Parks and Recreation is offering a variety of sports and holiday programs. For more information about these programs, including program fees and registration requirements, please call RiverChase of Fenton at (636) 343-0067 or visit website at www.fentonmo.org

Volleyball

Volleyball leagues are played at RiverChase on hardwood floors in the east and west gymnasiums. Recreational leagues are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Competitive leagues are played on Thursdays. League is seven games plus playoffs. The top four teams make the playoffs. Registration is still open, but space is limited. Fee is $150 per team. Session II begins the week of Dec. 14.

Basketball

Youth Basketball League — This six-game recreational league is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of basketball. Participants will receive a numbered uniform and trophy. Practices will be held on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons at RiverChase. Deadline to register is Dec. 23 and league begins Jan. 7. Cost is $50 for residents/members and $60 for non-residents.
Jump Start Basketball (3-5 years old) — Young athletes will learn basic skills to help develop coordination and other skills necessary to play basketball. This class relies heavily on parental involvement, so a parent or other adult is required to attend. Meeting times will be on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 9-9:45 a.m. Fee is $20 for resident/members and $30 non-residents.
Beginners Basketball (6-10 years old) — This clinic is designed for beginners entering our 2016 Basketball League. This class will teach participants the fundamentals that will help them progress through our league. Meeting times will be on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 10-10:45 a.m. Fee is $20 for resident/members and $30 non-residents.
Drop In Pickelball — Come play one of the fastest growing sports in America at RiverChase. Open play runs Monday through Thursday through May 1. Drop in fee is $3 per day. Paddles and balls will be provided, but are limited. Games are from 8-10 a.m. for beginners and 10-2 p.m. for advanced players.

Supper with Santa — Meet and take a picture with Santa and enjoy pizza, refreshments and more on Dec. 9 from 6-7:30 p.m. Cost is only $5 per person and children under 1 are free. Call (636) 343-0067 to sign up by Dec. 6.

Holi-Day Camp Week 1—Keep the kiddos entertained with two separate weeks of holiday fun during winter break. Campers will participate in all things holiday with crafts, games and activities throughout the day. Campers will even get to swim in the indoor pool. Pre and post camp is also offered for an additional fee. Space is limited, so call RiverChase at (636) 343-0067 for more information and to sign up today. Week one is Dec. 19-23 and week two is Dec. 26-30.
