Rockford Beach Park in House Springs is again open after it was closed for several weeks following the the May 31 drowning of a 14-year-old Pacific resident.
Devon Cotton drowned while swimming in the Big River along Rockford Beach Park. His body was found four days later. Devon’s father, Carlos, called for the closure of the park.
The park was back open as of June 22, with new signs installed warning of the dangers of swimming in water.
