The Jefferson County Library used donations from the Arnold and Northwest Branch Friends groups to leverage a federally-funded technology grant of $2,653 to upgrade and add electronic equipment to the community meeting rooms at the Arnold and Northwest branches. The rooms are now equipped with additional HDMI outlets, new projectors, Blu-Ray players, remotes for slideshow presentations, laser pointers and portable PA systems. The items were purchased with a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
The meeting rooms are available to community organizations and local businesses for public meetings, educational presentations, programs and more. To reserve a room call (636) 677-8186 for the Northwest Branch or (636) 296-2204 for the Arnold Branch.
